After Streams: Peripatetic series

Collaborative series with Adam Hogan that examines how movement brings life into our images by activating the eye of the camera itself. This agency frees the camera and offers the operator a poetic and bodily connection to the images. Handheld operation and the Steadicam both uniquely embed humanity into our images via direct, physical performance breathing life back into the frame.

In this project this becomes a choreographed or improvised performance that reflects the physical presence and relationship to the space. The Peripatetic series records uncut navigation through spaces, corridors, landscapes, etc.; each work features a single unbroken shot and an original score created using field recordings and audio synthesis.
